From where to start brother? First of all holy smokes you did it. The performance you put at UTMB was just mind bending. Congratulations on 2nd place finish & running Sub-20 in of the deepest fields and the way you ran second half of the race was spectacular to watch. This simply shows how much effort you have been putting for years. You are a great athlete & a wonderful person.! It was all about what you persevered to complete the loop as the weather was quite harsh and didn't made the decision to DNF when you were toasted in the last leg of the race. Keep showing up & keep putting in the work as you have done earlier. It was wonderful to see you finish strong.! And you are amongst the best.! All the best for the future races, other adventures & for all the other things in life.! Remember BEN DHIMAN IS THE BEST HUMAN SOUL OUT THERE.! <3 Allez Ben Dhiman. You are a great human & inspiring tons of souls out there.! Way to go.! Rooting for you in the future from India.! Sending bundle of positive vibes & lots of love from my side from India. Way to go. You are source of light to this world brother.I know how badly you wanted to win this race and it got reflected in post race interview with IRUNFAR. Be proud of yourself brother, you put a spectacular show for everyone and the consistency you have been showing for the last couple of years at the biggest races is wonderful to watch. And your first principles thinking in life gets shown whenever I listen to you some podcast. And I listened to you on Adventure Creator podcast which was back in 2021, it was the most detailed about your whole life and tells a lot about your whole story. There is no doubt that you can win this race in future, onwards & upwards brother.
I could understand the feeling when we go for the win, everything below it seems not satisfying at all. Look for Clayton Young's last video of the build for World Championships where he too was gutted and says all of the effort for just 9th place.
And the way you have progressed in this sport is way beyond what people know about yourself. Will be rooting for you from India.
Your substack blog is quite good and your training updates on podcast has good insights. I was badly wanting you to win the race brother But it was great to witness you gave it your all.
